Hey friends! Anyone with fibromyalgia and endometriosis plus mental health issues? How do you cope with pain? Do your doctors treat you like a junkie when you ask about pain relief? What has worked for you?

I have endo and fibro and about 15 other chronic conditions. For my fibro lyrica and naltrexone help me. I also get routine iv fluids which help with the pain and fatigue. I also have dozens of different things I do lifestyle wise diet wise and when I’m in flare. Feel free to dm me and I can share in more detail. Two and a half years ago I was bedridden from pin and fatigue. Today I rarely have any pain and work full time plus am a full time grad student.

What helps when you are at the lowest point with your fibromyalgia flares? I’m at that point. My skin feels like it’s on fire . I had to be spoon fed last night . The pain is excruciating.

I had a rheumatologist write off a lot of my symptoms as being mental health issues or saying it’s probably from my meds. Finally got diagnosed with fibro but I’m getting another opinion from a new rheumatologist who seems better.

I do, along with a degenerated/herniated disc in my back. I’ve never been able to fully be rid of the pain. But I was very fortunate to find a doctor that listens and has helped me find treatment to where I can get out of bed on an almost daily basis instead of trying to sleep off the pain. I’m on Amitriptyline and a muscle relaxer to take at night. It’s the best thing that has helped so far, along with magnesium supplements.

Ugh … that doctor sounds awful . I was in a similar position. I had a neurologist tell me that I would get better if I was married and got a job . I told her she would be better at her job if she would start being a neurologist and stop giving out lifestyle advice . I don’t pay out of pocket for that and that isn’t covered by any insurance, 😑 For pain relief cbd has helped a lot. Medical marijuana as well . I take Trokendi which helps with my fibro as well as my migraines. The endo is tricky .

I finally found good doctors. But before I did… I had a Rhumatologist who told me to get a job at Walmart when I told him that my pain and fatigue had gotten so bad that I couldn’t be on my feet for more than an hour or two a day… and this was at the beginning of the pandemic!!! And I have conditions that put me in the high risk category for Covid… Like… I literally couldn’t work or even really take care of myself easily…
