Struggling with Strong Smells

Does anybody else struggle maintaining their composure when there is a strong smell present? I have always been very overwhelmed by smells and always seem to experience them more intensely then anyone I am with. I have heard this may be related to female ASD.

Yes! My nose is so sensitive. I used to look at my dog to see if she was sniffing too or if It’s just in my head, and she actually learned that I can pick up on smells that she can and she looks at me when she smells something weird. So with that sensitivity, strong smells are the worst. Even pleasant ones that are really strong make me dizzy.
