trying to use this app as an outlet again, so hello. recently have been working in retail which has caused me to become a lot more social! i’m pretty productive now a days but unfortunately every time i help customers i always get referred to as “she/her” or “maam”. i like to think i pass, my voice is more mid range in tone, and i dress very masculine..i ignore it as best as i possibly can but over time it gets tiring. you try so hard to be seen as a man out in public and without a doubt it fails.

I feel that really hard. In my experience people tend to talk about how passing isn’t everything and it doesn’t matter what people think, and while that is true, misgendering still feels like a punch everytime and it definitely wears me down too.
