Ive been diagnosed with internal and external haemorrhoids after doing a sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. Ive been getting lots of bleeding in my stool … the more stool the more blood. Burning sensation after using the toilet. Does anyone have any tips? Im new to all this and i feel pretty lonely tbh its scary seeing blood and having this burning pain. What works for you?

The most underrated advice that people won't put on online forums 1. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and soften the stool. 2. Eat fiber-rich foods like lentils, beans, and veggies to regulate bowel movements and reduce constipation. 3. Avoid processed foods, especially spicy and salty ones. 4. Take a daily warm bath to soothe the anal area. 5. Keep the anus clean with water after bowel movements to reduce irritation and prevent infection. 6) exercise as much as you can, at least twice a week.

Fiber supplements have helped me. If you have a uterus/ovaries and experience a monthly cycle, this may especially help during ovulation as the hormone shifts can contribute to constipation.

I have external hemorrhoids and i totally understand your pain. Mine have been getting bad too. i recommend a warm water wash on the toilet. get an empty water bottle, fill it with warm water, poke a hole in the cap and rinse that a-hole! you arent alone!
