So, yesterday I treated myself to an ambulance ride to the hospital. I’ve been pushing through an agonizing RA flare up for several weeks, and one of my personality flaws is to ignore/push past pain assuming that it will go away. Yesterday my pain got the best of me and my body went into trauma response mode. I was dizzy, “seeing stars”, and heard ringing in my ears. The purpose of this post is to urge you not to downplay your pain/troubling symptoms lest they get the best of you.
