Tips for Traveling with a Feeding Tube

I don’t have a tube, however, I would call your airline in advance and ask what you need to do to ensure you can travel without issues related to your medical equipment. Explain what you will need to have with you, and ask specifically how they will handle that. Also, they might be able to get you a some accommodation with tsa. You can also purchase some tsa ease if you have your background checked and pay for special passes. I don’t know much about that, but ask! I would also look up the layout of both airports, plan for having enough supplies to cover you for at least 24 hrs in the event your luggage or supplies get lost, damaged or confiscated by someone along the way. Also, call your insurance and see if they can find at least two pharmacies or medical supply stores which you could access at your destination, in the event something happens. Also you could consider sending supplies to your destination, if you have to much to carry.
