This is kind of embarrassing and I am unsure if this is related to any medication or maybe undiagnosed condition (I’ve been tested for Crohn’s, IBS, etc but said all clear) But sometimes I don’t have regular bowel movements then when I need to go it takes a lot out of me literally and figuratively. Like I can’t go to the bathroom sitting I end up feeling so sick and hot I usually end up having awful diarrhea bent over in a cold shower. It’s like my whole body goes into it. Does anyone else experience anything like this? It’s awful. And messy. But I feel like I’m dying and I can’t go to the bathroom if I’m sitting on the toilet. Not every time but when my body “purges” like this that is what happens. It’s like once or twice a month sometimes. I have also been monitored and tested for gluten or dairy intolerance and all clear with that, too, I guess. Am I the only one who experiences these episodes?

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’d recommend keeping a food journal for a few months to see if anything specific is causing it, and alongside that writing if anything very stressful happened each week. Stress affects us more than we realize

I definitely know you will get this figured out. Food definitely can have an affect on us. Please know I will help and assist anyway I can, even if it's just to listen.

niceshyguy— I really appreciate you seeing that I’ve tried to solve this already. It’s really frustrating and I decided to reach out here to see if anyone else has experienced something similar and if they know what causes it for them. Unfortunately I think I might have to do some sort of elimination diet again. I am thinking it may be triggered by sugar but it doesn’t happen every time I have sugar. I guess I will just keep an eye on it when I have anything sugary. I am sorry you also experience similar things with anxiety. But yes we will both conquer this!

I'm truly so sorry your having to deal with this. That sounds very intense. It also sounds like you have tried to find out what is causing it. I know I kind of have some issues similar to this, I've really been focusing on my anxiety I deal with. It can get so overwhelming for me sometimes that it can affect my bodily functions. I'm still trying to work with it or find some relief but not yet. Just know I appreciate you actually having the courage to post this, I know it wasn't easy at all. Please don't give up and know you will conquer this.
