Hey guys I know a very popular creator called soundoftheforest got banned for saying autism on tiktok and the same thing has happened to me. I got my other account deleted so I logged back in on my google account and as soon as I reuploaded videos with the words “autism/autistic” in I got notifications for violations and an account warning. I’m now banned for 5 months. Can someone tell me what on earth is going on with tiktok and the word autism?? Or have u experienced something similar?

        @Goldenretriverfan have u managed to get back in? For me it keeps saying no matter what way I try to make a new account that “I’m not eligible” even tho I am.

        @KittyKatKuo yep. Awful. I now can’t post about mental health or autism bc I’m too scared to. I’m gonna try to get an account via Facebook login and then I won’t be able to post anything related to mh

      not with autism but i’ve had videos taken down for saying “eating disorder” or “anorexia” while trying to spread awareness. my guess is they have some AI program that looks for keywords and takes down videos that use them to prevent triggers/hate speech, but the program isn’t smart enough to distinguish between a negative video and a positive video

        @mermaidap yep my videos are explaining stuff about autism that ppl may not know or my experience with it. And I agree it has to be some sort of automatic algorithm doing this but it’s awful.
