BPD and ASD: Overlapping Symptoms?

I have many friends with BPD who also have autism. It may just be one of those comorbid things and since it's flaring up more now you're noticing it a lot more. Its definitely worth researching as well as analyzing yourself the symptoms you have of BPD + the symptoms you see of autism and see if there's overlaps or comorbidities. I've had autism brought up to me before and found that there were too many overlaps better explained by NPD. An example I can think of is relations to empathy - both people with Cluster B disorders & people with autism tend to have either very high or very low empathy. I relate to low empathy autistic people but for very different reasons. So I'd say to map out your autism & BPD symptoms that you resonate with and see if it was maybe a misdiagnosis that overlapped or they both have traits that exist in you and it's a comorbidity
