Is there really a place in society for people like us? Where do we belong? Everywhere I turn is ableist. It doesn’t help that I’m a woman of color either. Everyone i know pushes me to find my place in society, but i know there is no place. I don’t belong anywhere.

Hi I know how you feel. I’m also a woman of color with depression. I find it hard to find ppl that I can truly be myself without over explaining or explaining myself to them. I want to find ppl that just “get” it

Yes. Depression is very common and most people have a loved one who suffers from depression. There are so many understanding people out there, I’m sorry you haven’t found them yet. Good luck.
