It was the day I forgot to take my adhd medication (which happens often as I’m forgetful) that I started getting chest pain. It started mildly but by the next day I was struggling to breathe, it wasn’t exactly painful but uncomfortable and made moving difficult, I went to hospital and they thought my body was fighting an infection but since then they’ve found I have an immune system illness, suspected lupus, that’s caused this. The chest pain comes back randomly every week or so but only mildly, along with strong fatigue and the lymph nodes in my neck have been swollen for months, before the chest pain even started. My question is, could me missing that day on my medication even though it’s not the first time that’s happened, have caused my immune system to attack my body and heart or is that more likely a coincidence?
