I’ve asked this question several times but I’m still not understanding. Lol why does people recommend inflammatory diets etc for inflammation when fibromyalgia DOES NOT cause inflammation and isn’t associated with inflammation.

I've significantly reduced my gluten intake and it's helped.

I definitely experience inflammation but I may have more than fibro so I may not be much help 😅

Anti inflammatory diets help me too, but I think it’s more that generally healthy foods just help out. Plus getting rid of other inflammations in your body probably just helps out with the fibromyalgia pain.

I definitely experience inflammation with my fibromyalgia and I notice a huge difference when I follow an anti inflammatory diet!

Hi Rachelle! I'm gonna try to explain maybe, tho I'm not an expert. I think the diet is meant to be preventative. The body has an inflammation response to lots of things, not just a medical condition. A anti-inflammatory diet is the best way to control that inflammation response to other things from being too painful when you are already in a fibro flair up

@Nat_Nat That being said, you should eat what makes you happy. Food is medicine in lots of ways, whether that be for your body or your spirit. My tip is to try out parts of diets and see what you feel comfortable/results from implementing. You get to control what food you put inside you, so enjoy your choices! 😊😊😊
