Hello I was recently diagnosed with a-fib which scares me. I know there are others out there with the same condition and live regular lives. This is all new to me and would like to connect with others for support. And how to deal with the side effects of the medications. Thank you.

Hi! I have had a scary episode of A-fib and I don’t wish it on anyone! What has helped me keep it in control has been getting my electrolyte levels checked at the cellular level. Blood serum tests can hide deficiency because it only shows serum levels, not what's actually in our cells. I found a Functional Doctor that uses hair analysis to check nutrient levels and found that I was pretty low in almost everything... Addressing my electrolyte imbalance has really helped. Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, and Calcium are crucial for a properly functioning cardiovascular system. When your body becomes low in Magnesium, it makes it impossible for your body to hold onto Potassium. This further negatively affects the other mineral levels until you have this downward spiral of awful symptoms because your body doesn't have the critical nutrients that it needs to work correctly. There is some great literature out there about Magnesium and A-fib, and it being an effective way to manage the condition. It's worth a look into to see if it's something you would be willing to adapt into your day-to-day lifestyle. I hope this offers you a little bit of help and possibly some relief. 🙏❤️

I completely feel for you. I was diagnosed with a-flutter (suspected paroxysmal a-fib too but they haven't been able to catch it yet) last May - I was 19 so doctors all very surprised. It has been a scary time but I've definitely learnt how to adjust in some ways
