because i have autism, i feel the need to stim in public. how should i do this without getting weird stares?

      Just stim! Do what you need to do. It’s anxiety inducing when people stare so start small but honestly they can get over themselves. Stimming is natural and important for you. No one should ever made to feel ashamed for that. You owe no one an explanation but if you feel that would ease your mind then go ahead. You have no reason to be ashamed to do what you need, remember that

      Just move to as private a place as possible. If that isn't an option then let people know that you have autism if they stare and you are comfortable sharing that. In the end, try not to worry too much about what others think of you when you stim.😊
