Navigating ADHD and Hyperfocus on a Crush

i feel you. i’ve had a crush on my family friend since we were kids. and i recently told him how i felt and he just got out of a bad relationship that last a couple years a few months ago and he said he’s not ready for anything. i’ve been trying so hard to move on but i’m close friends with his sis. and the other day i was at their house and he just came out of the shower soaking wet which did not help at all 😭 but ive found hyper fixating on something helps me. i found out how much i love cross stitching. so i’ll spend my days off just in bed watching netflix and stitching. finding a hobby you love might help? my mind still wanders to him a lot tho. but i think it’ll just take time to get over someone. focusing more on yourself 🥺💗

Oh man, I feel you! Before I met my now-husband, I was an absolute mess with my crushes. I mean, even with him it was pretty bad but I was lucky he liked me back. It wasn’t until I realized with my crushes that either 1. They already had a girlfriend or 2. They did something that really turned me off (one guy said he didn’t believe I had ADHD 🙃 instant turn off) I was insufferably obsessed. I can’t imagine living with a crush though!! That must be hard 😖
