I've gotten several tattoos since I got CRPS...it takes longer to heal than that of a healthy person and it can cause a flare up but for the most part I find it pain relieving for a bit it doesn't last only while getting it but for whatever reason my body shuts down the pain when I'm getting a tattoo....once it's over I immediately need my pain meds and lidocaine cream but I enjoy getting them so I'll get more

I don't think I would do it. I've had CRPS\RSD since 1994. Since then anytime I've had surgery for something having nothing to do with our condition... I've always experienced excruciating pain. Those other doctors just don't understand what we have.

I have one that is not at the original pain site. My crps traveled to my entire body. It’s behind my right ear on my neck. Tbh it didn’t hurt

I also have waited on getting a tatt. I talked to a nurse and doctor about it over the years. Nurse advised being careful but that she knew of some that were fine but the doc advised me that it would not be recommended, but clearly my choice…. I have RSD in all four limbs and it started on my low back (site of original injury), so odds are not good for me, but damned, if I am not tempted still!

Following along on this- haven’t gotten a tattoo since being diagnosed.
