I was just diagnosed with Sjögren’s and while I knew I probably had it, it was still upsetting. (I already have RA! It shouldn’t be allowed to have 2+ autoimmune diseases.) What has helped you live with Sjögren’s, especially if you have another form of autoimmune arthritis?

I have multiple autoimmune diseases and I am so tired all of the time. They all have fatigue as a symptom so how do I know what to do. I’m gluten free and low dairy already. I don’t work anymore so I can sleep in but the real me is chomping at the bit to get going 🤦🏼‍♀️

The pilocarpine has done nothing for me unfortunately but I’m still working up to the full dosage after months 😆

They do have a med now that is helping me some. My rheumatologist put me on it about a year ago and it has helped. It's called Pilocarpine.

I have 4 autoimmune disorders - the struggle is real. The best thing I’ve found is to trust your body, and if you’re having a bad day/week/month don’t beat yourself up over it. I went through a really tough mourning period over losing “who I was” prior to all of autoimmune disorders becoming active. It is now 6 years later and I’ve learned how to cope with bad days, and enjoy the good ones. The hardest part is that the majority of people in your life won’t understand, but the ones who do - they are the ones you worry about. People are going to judge, but as long as you are doing your best that is all that matters! 💕 Also: diet matters. As much as I hate to admit it sometimes - it really does make a difference. It is not a cure by any means, but I’ve noticed my pain is better controlled when I’m paying more attention to my choices.

Unfortunately, usually one with an autoimmune disease has more chances of suffering from another one 😣.

I don’t have sage advice but I wanted to let you know you aren’t alone, I have both Sjorgens & RA, & it all started in 2020. It suck’s & I’m struggling 😩
