Healing from Surgery and Managing Pain Responsibly

So I had surgery for the first time yesterday due a cyst i had in my bartholins gland, so there’s a ton of bruising in my groin area and it’s extremely uncomfortable to sit comfortably / walk around. Ive been prescribed oxycodone for the pain, but taking it makes me feel super light headed and woozy, but it does take away the pain. Because I have a past of alcoholism (18 months sober this month) i’m setting timers and letting close friends know when ive taken my last dosage so i can take responsibly. I’m a little anxious about it, but i’m healing slowly but surely. The pain is temporary, but having a bruised groin sure does suck.
