I’m in the same situation as you. I recently lost a really close friend of mine who is also toxic. It’s honestly natural to miss them even if that friend of yours was toxic. And it’s okay to grieve over them as well. But if that friendship of yours was stressful and that friend wasn’t treating you well, I guess now you know what to look out for when you want healthier friendships in the future! I would suggest like doing any hobbies or activities that you enjoy to get your mind off of it. Maybe spend more time with friends. And if you ever feel the need to vent about it, you can talk to anyone that you are close with or trust if possible. Especially in those times, support systems are vital. For me, my Mom is like my biggest support system so far and if I ever feel sad about losing a toxic friend, she pretty much comforts me and also snaps me out of my depression or grieving state by encouraging me to think of the breakup in a more positive light and tells me to use that time as an opportunity to focus on bettering myself. Anyways I hope that helps and hope that you are doing well! I’m sure with that also with time, it will help you move forward in moving on from that toxic friend. Anyways, take care ❤️
