How do y'all deal with a cheating boyfriend who claims it'll be different this time and feels empty without you? I really love him but I broke up with him for my own peace of mind. He keeps reaching out but idk what to say

I was in this same situation. Trust your gut. Personally, for me it was best to stay broken up with him. It hurts at first but it does get better with time I promise!

Try to stay strong and don’t accept contact from him. Otherwise, he will say anything to get you back but then not change. Breakups are very hard, but sometimes it’s best thing you can do for yourself. You deserve someone who loves you and treats you like a Queen.

Stay strong! Protect yourself. They will say nearly anything to get you to stay/come back but rarely change. You can love someone and also know you cannot be with them. Please put yourself first. Go no contact if you have to. This happened to my mother-she was married to my abusive dad who repeatedly cheated on her and swore to change.

I also broke up in this situation. Be careful of him saying manipulative things as a way to get you to feel sorry for him and come back.

@CaptainHolmes Please take good care of yourself! breakups are so hard but ultimately can be for the best.

Personally, if my boyfriend cheated on me I would leave him too. I don't think someone who truly cares and respects you would do something so painful to you. I think that you did the right thing.
