Anyone else have good communication with their system and because of that, sometimes feel invalidated because you feel you’re not “struggling” enough?

I feel like we put on mask for singlets, and like we act like a singlet that people assume we aren’t a system

Oh so much. We have great communication and we feel bad for it, even.

Mmh yeah. I usually feel that way with all my disorders because I was told that for it to be a disorder you must struggle with it in life all the time and it makes it harder for you to function in the world. I have days where I can work well with everyone though and it feels so peachy. But I remind myself that I am valid even on these happy days because I will never forget the trauma I had to go through. The good days are a sign you’re learning to heal and getting closer to it so be proud. Just remember how many battles you had to fight and that’s how you know who you are. No one else can ever know or experience what you went though in ur body and mind. You’re the first person to know. So Id try my best to not listen to others if they try invalidating ur trauma or diagnoses. How would they ever understand.

we have similar struggles— we don’t have total memory amnesia and is able to keep track of stuff pretty well with a bit of aid, and it makes me feel a bit phony— I relate to the sentiment of wanting to fit into this box to feel valid or other things along the lines ;( our dms are always open for ya!! :))
