Please help. I just had the worst meltdown since a year ago. I took it out on my parents and threw things, screamed and hit things and almost hurt my mum. My parents are so exhausted of having to deal with this that instead of getting comfort during the meltdown I received very hurtful things being said to me. I feel awful watching my parents break down after having to deal with me and I can’t do this anymore. I honestly wanted to 💀 myself in the meltdown, I don’t know what to do or how to feel anymore. I can’t keep doing this it’s an endless cycle

@Livingasazebra I personally find venting to an understanding friend really helps. I get my big, bad feelings out over the phone to my bestie. He knows that I don't mean most of what I'm saying and it takes the potency out of my feelings. I'm much calmer after :)

Have you ever been on a mood stabilizer? I used to have episodes like these but being on a mood stabilizer has helped me a ton

@Electric.Sheep were in the process of sorting things out (as we have been since I was 7) but I’m going to try meds. Just someone to talk to on here really

That’s sounds horrible and it sucks that happens. Meltdowns can be hella exhausting for you and others, but it’s not your fault. You can ask your doctor about abilify or risperidal for autistic irritability. I know the cycle sucks, but you’re strong and we’re here for you.
