please dont! i have attempted on several occasions due to feeling absolutely empty or due to withdrawals. everytime i attempted i was terrified as i felt myself drifting. i was terrified because i was leaving everyone that has ever loved me behind. tearing myself away from everyone without a single goodbye. i would never be able to experience life again. no parties, no roadtrips, no festivals, carnivals, dances, weddings. nothing. that feeling of terror and regret is what makes you want to stay. i’m so thankful that my attempts didn’t work. i get to wake up everyday thankful for who i am and where i am and what i have. you mustn’t give up. you’re going to want to give up many MANY times in your life. but always remember, everyday is a new opportunity. everyday there’s a chance for change. please find a therapist or some form or therapy. you may not want to. you may feel like it’s useless. but keep going. keep pushing. there’s people out there who want to help you. if you feel in danger of yourself, please call the suicide hotline 800-273-8255 . dont give up. please. your life is not meant to end by your own hands. ❤️

Even if you can’t think of a purpose or anyone that loves you or a reason to live anymore and the pain is unbearable, don’t do it because one day you’ll find that reason and those people and you’ll be glad you’re alive. And so will they.

Honestly, same. But I know that doing it is kinda selfish(in my case, at least) and that we have at least a small purpose in life. Mine is being a parent, maybe think on what yours is?

Please don't stay alone with those thoughts. Share them with someone- a friend, family member or professional via hotline or the ER. Everything can change, thing are temporary and you deserve help, you are not alone!

I've been there many times before. Sometimes I got really close to doing it. I'm glad I stuck around. Try to think about things you might miss out on. Do you have pets? They love you unconditionally and rely on you. Do you have neices or nephews you are watching grow up? You wouldn't want to miss their high school graduation or college graduation. Maybe you don't have these things. Maybe just stick around to find out what happens. It's like a movie. A lot of times, even if I'm watching a bad movie, I still gotta find out what happens. What about a TV show you are watching? You won't know what goes on next. Your favorite book might get a new sequel you wouldn't be able to read. Personally, one thing I can think of that I totally would have missed out on is seeing my childhood best friend getting married and having kids. Holding her baby girl in my arms was the most unreal, joyful experience. I wouldn't have wanted to miss that for the world. You never know what could happen, you gotta just stick around to find out.

i went there. four times since i got clean from drugs on july 3 2020. i was in the same spot as you, i didn't want to deal with the pain anymore i was so tired. it sucks, believe me i know it sucks. it's so overwhelming. and it doesn't get better all at once. but it does slowly. . my last attempt was in june. since then, i got a 4.0 gpa for the first time in over 10 years. i started my first social work internship in a field that i love. i've connected with three new special needs kids and have started to really help them. i've even made a few friends. my life has started to turn around. . i'm still depressed. i still occasionally sh. i still have severe si sometimes. but sometimes i catch myself singing along to a song in the car or smiling at something that i haven't smiled at in a long long time. and that's what keeps me going now. i live in between small smiles. it's just a little bit better than a year ago, but it is better. . we're here for you. i'm here for you. please feel free to message me if you need support. between my own treatment and everything that i've learned while pursuing my social work degree, i can give you support. it's hard to reach out but your posting on here was such an important step. don't take that lightly. i believe in you ♥️

There are so many good reasons not to lose hope: 1. There are many effective treatments! I got drugs that really helped me! 2. People need you and would love to help you! Share your thoughts with them! Never make decisions by yourself! I am with you! 🙌

Sometimes when things get really overwhelming, we can want to kill ourselves to stop the stimulation. It's really important in those moments to try and find ways to slow down, whether that's talking to someone or playing games or making art or whatever else you like to do
