I take Lyrica, but it's quite similar to gabapentin. It made me tired at first too. I was yawning frequently after my first every dose. You'll get adjusted to it with time. If the drowsiness becomes a symptom that doesn't go away or bothers you too much to deal with, I'd let your Dr know. I wish you luck and hope you find a solution!! ❤️❤️
