i have had severe trichotillomania with the ends of my hair for the past 5 years (it’s not just “playing” with my split ends; i rip off the ends of my hair). i’ve tried pretty much everything. even when i put my hair up, i still manage to find a way to pick at any small strands of hair, and i hate how i look with my hair up. obviously, the easiest and most logical way to stop this would be to cut my hair, but i refuse to. my hair is down to my mid-back, and i want to grow it out really long. plus, i would probably have to get a pixie cut or something so i couldn’t see the ends. does anyone here have any advice at all on what i could do to help this and recover?

put oil on your hands!! Makes you totally unable to grip, keep like baby oil or something on hand!

If you do it while just lounging around at home, maybe wear those soft and fluffy “aloe-infused” moisturizing gloves. It helps me a lot cuz i physically can’t grab my eyelashes with them cuz they’re soft. Plus they’re nice and cozy! And moisturizing! Otherwise, if you don’t like your hair up, maybe look on Pinterest or YouTube to find some cute updos that work for you so you feel confident wearing it up to help prevent the pulling.

I hate how my hair looks up too 😥 I do recommend rheal cosmetics hair growth oil/shampoos!
