Dealing with Trust Issues in Family Relationships

I’m not sure if it’s because am bipolar, that I do not trust too many people especially my family. They have done things to prove I cannot trust them. I’m big on privacy and if I share something with someone I do not want them to spread my business even if it’s nothing major. I really dislike that. Any one else have trust issues?

      Yeah I have trust issues with my Mom too and her spreading gossip. It’s been an issue in the past so I’m just careful about what I say to her. I am also Bipolar 🙂

        @Eli31 do you have someone else you trust? I learning to focus on the people I can trust. I don’t like when they start gossiping.

      I'm bipolar and have ptsd, I have really bad trust issues, I totally get what you're saying. My family hasn't been great on privacy my whole life.

          @Janeee I don't share anything with my mom at all, she can't be trusted and can't handle anything but what's in her little bubble. My aunt I can share some stuff with but I mostly keep to myself. My sister and I live together so we share a lot with each other but it doesn't leave the house. Even as an adult I still hide my journal so no one reads it.
