i really hate how high my heart rate gets in the morning. it stresses me out so much. i made sure to get up really gradually and drink water on my way up, but i still hit 198bpm by the time i walked to the bathroom and i had to lay down on the floor for 20 minutes. i don’t even know how i’m supposed to manage this.

@rj.crow what about the leg massager boots? They completely encase your legs and use compressed air to keep squeeze your blood around? Might be something to do before getting out of bed

You're nearing heart attack territory with a heart rate that high. If it ever distresses you too much, call an ambulance
I understand this. There have been mornings I have gotten up and my heart rate has shot up to 242bpm and I have just instantly collapsed 😥

@GlutenFreeGirlie I’m just so glad mine doesn’t spike that high and I’ve never gone past presyncope.
Salt tablet before bed?
@EncyclopediaFae i tried that a couple times and it didn’t seem to do much. thanks tho!!
That's frustrating for sure!! I was just speaking with my nurse about how long it takes to be able to manage symptoms. She said because POTS is so different in everyone it's hard to say what will and will not work. It's a long process of trial and error. Keep advocating for yourself and keep trying different things, eventually you'll learn how to make living easier For me its taking mobility aids (walker or cane and shower chair, +chair in the kitchen for cooking) lots of salt, daily infusions, and a beta blocker as needed. I now know signs before I get an episode so I can do what I need to before it gets bad
@Bird1620 i’m working with my doctor to try and find something that works. hopefully we get it figured out
