i honestly don't think I've been told how many i could take a week. i've only been told that i could only take two in a 24-hour period, and my insurance will only allow a prescription of 10 a month. it seems to work pretty well for me, though it did fail once.

I would talk to your doctor who prescribed. Most medications have a strict limit because they can be hard on your body. I was on a migraine medication that I took when I had a migraine and was basically taking every day, if you have lots of migranes then a PREVENTATIVE treatment may be best to stop the migraines before they start. Amitryptyline is a popular preventive and there are more. Talk to your neuro or PCP about starting a daily preventative if you’re having to take ubrevly more than 2-3 times a week

I've heard three times a week. I think you need a daily medication. I take topamax.
