It's different for everybody but as a general rule, communication with parts/alters is helpful. My best advice is talking to a mental health professional who understands how to work with DID if you can -- I get that not everybody has access to one though.

Yeah communicating is far better then hiding .. however it takes practice.. for me its difficult because at one point we did communicate things got slightly larger an weirder.. but now i caouldnt live with out then ... hehe but what makes it harder is family that one cant trust ( ones who are abusers narc,bi-polar an generaly shelf centered )
