I can converse normally one on one, but cannot keep up in a group setting. Why is this? Is it a bad thing?

I can kind of relate. When there’s a big group, people talk over each other. When one person gets done talking, someone else starts, and I can’t fit in a word edgewise. It’s quite annoying TBH. Then again, I’m not the best at conversation in general, but one on one can be tolerable, depending on the person and the topic. I’m picky though.

Honestly, same. I am okay with one on one conversations but when it is 2 or more people I shut down and fade to the background of the conversation occasionally fake smiling to just get it over with. Some ways that I have found that help me is trying to relate the topic to things that have happened to me in my life. Sometimes comparing things or saying "this is what helped me" can help in conversations rather than just shutting down completely and disassociating from the convo completely.
I was diagnosed with broader autism disorder and part of that was because my body’s ability to intake and process information was significantly impaired compared to regular people. In 1 on 1 I can pull from past experiences and stuff and I can focus on reading social ques on just one person. It’s exhausting but I can manage. Put me in a group and I cannot…so there’s that possibility. Some of us just don’t process stuff as well as other people do. It’s a struggle but now that you know it’s hard you can try to find strategies that can help you in those situations.
I was diagnosed w sensory processing disorder after I explained it.
Same. I don't know why, I've just gradually learned to accept that is how I am.
I think it’s very reasonable. We all get nervous when more people are involved, let alone when you don’t know these people
