An easy thing that’s helped me is eating THC or CBD gummies, while taking my medication. I’m on ziprazidone and sometimes it makes me anxious so having marijuana helps calm me down. Also, while having an episode it has helped me, it’s a fast acting substance that truly works when you feel like you’re out of control. Now weed can be used as medicine, but for bipolar I think we need medication prescribed from a doctor, the right one, that makes everything alright. It helps level out all the wild episodes. Hope this helps, even a little

Tbh there’s nothing other than medication that truly does the job for me. I do try to get outside most days when weather and health allows. I also meditate and do yoga. If I notice my mood starting to elevate I have what you could call a protocol lol. I limit my access to anything that potentially could rile me up more. I won’t watch or read certain things. I try to meditate more if I’m not elevated to the point that I can’t. And I really try to continue taking my meds regularly. I tend to forget when my mood starts to climb or dip and that does me no favors. That might mean extra alarms on my phone, sticky notes on my door, or asking someone to check in with me. I have heard of people who use supplements/vitamins, change their diet, and exercise though. Everyone’s different. Hope you’re able to figure out something that works for you!
Taking a walk listening to my favorite music, journaling, daily (sometimes twice daily) meditation. If you feel like theres a switch coming or you feel a slight switch coming on, ive noticed it helps me to immediately settle down, and just focus on my breathing for a few minutes.
