I don’t want this to sound horrible but it is driving me crazy that my family follows me around everywhere. I went outside to just get a moment of fresh air and collect myself and watch some deer walking by. Then my husband and kid come out too. How do you ever get alone time as a mom 😭😭

Be truthful with your husband and tell him you need a little time alone. I live with my husband my son and our 90 lab, in a 460 sqft cabin.

Agreed. Communication is everything. No one can read your mind or pick up on clues. You can be truthful and loving at the same time. You got this babes.

that’s my problem I always just walk off trying to get my alone time and get too irritated to have a nice conversation about it. It comes out too harsh from the overstimulation. I need to get better at being proactive

It's nearly impossible. Do you have a tub? If so, institute personal time by locking of 30-45 minutes at least 3 or 4 times a week for you to take an uninterrupted bubble bath (have your salt or sugar scrub, your bubble bath, a glass of wine, and watch a show you like on your phone as it sits safely, for you to enjoy while soaking.

hahah oh my gosh it’s so sad this is something that a lot of parents would agree is necessary. Totally would do the same. 😂

Like others said communicate in the most difficult way; honestly and vulnerably. I would say hey this is really hard for me to admit but I'm having a hard time with being over stimulated, I'd feel like my day to day would be a lot easier if I had time set aside for just me and minimal stimulation; can you support me in that?
