I did a full one jan 2021, no visitors and had to stay overnight cuz the same thing happened with my calcium. I’m an er rn, so i was allowed to go home with calcium pills to offset the symptoms when they came up, and had a tube still in for drainage that they were comfortable me going home with cuz i could drain it myself. But the overnight is so lonely and its scary, and anyone that tells you it isnt doesnt understand the position youre in. (My cancer ended up being the rare hurthle cell with spreading so the recovery has been…a lot). But, like everyone has said….here for any venting, support, questions, whatever. You got this…even the times you don’t…you still do.

@snailgirl thanks so so much! Are you having full or half? Yeah apparently this cancer doesn’t matter

I have my ultrasound of my lymphnoids to see if it spread and blood tests scheduled and I need to find and schedule a ent surgeon or a general surgeon that is in network to do my full thyroidectomy. My endocrinologist was surprised, she isn’t even the one who found it my cardiologist found it by doing a mra. It’s scary and overwhelming but you are not alone, you can, (that goes for all of you) message me too.

Nope no visitors at all allowed. My surgeon anticipates I’ll be in hospital 3 nights due to calcium dropping. How did you do after surgery? How did pathology go

I understand how you're feeling. Hopefully you can have visitors? Mine happened right when covid hit and they shut everything down. I had to go in alone and come out alone. No visitors at all. Scariest moment of my life
