I recently got forearm crutches and will be needing to use them in school. How do you deal with the fear of using mobility aids in public?

It took some serious getting used to. Tbh I will be stared at either way, either by flaring in public (which, worst case scenario, means I dislocate something or pass out), or by using the aid. So I see it as a means to choose why people are staring. Especially if I decorate / customize the aid. Make it as fashionable as I can
