I’ve been at my new job since February and I have this supervisor who is really cool and we have a lot of similar interests. It’s always me starting the conversations first though but I feel like it’s mainly because he’s always focused on working and I’m always focused on slacking off but he does listen to my antics and laugh. I just feel like he has yet to actually show his full personality due to him having to be in charge and always work focused. With that being said, should I ask him if would like to hangout outside of work. He’s an introvert like me, so I don’t know what’ll he say but he’s very nice and interesting.

You will never know till you ask. A work place is sadly supposed to be work related. I think the most mature thing to do would be to ask and see where it goes from there. 😇 . He might be somewhat shut off also because he is a introvert. So socializing is harder. But I believe in you, and I think if you pop the question to hangout he wouldn't mind.

Hard to say on that one. If he slacks off a lot he's less likely to say it seems unprofessional.

@cjness he’s always working hard while I’m slacking off to talk to him. I feel like we just don’t have enough interactions because he’s focused on work that’s why I want to ask him to hangout so we can have more interactions.
