Five accidents, including one where I was a pedestrian. I'm terrified of cars. SSRIs have helped some, though

Yes, I dissociate pretty badly and I'm terrified it will happen while I'm driving. The last time my friend tried to teach me to drive I had a panic attack and almost hit a light pole
Yes but I have literally no clue why. I’ve only driven a handful of times, nothing catastrophic has happened. I’ve had a couple close calls but I’ve never even been in an accident as a passenger. It just freaks me out, I don’t like being responsible for other people’s lives like that 💀

i was for a bit after my car accident, even though i was uninjured i was a split second from dying in it. but more than that, in the moment, i was scared of my parents knowing about it, haha. i got way better about it, and am probably the best driver i know, but these days i cant drive because of si and hi that comes up while driving. could probably drive accompanied but i dont really care to because of how stressful it is. my partner takes care of most of the appointment driving now
I've never been in a car accident but last month I had horrible anxiety attack while driving. Ever since, I can't drive alone on the highway:/
✋ ✋ 🙌 ✋ ✋ I’m just NOT good at it
yes, i was in four car accidents from november of 2020-may 2021, all of my cars were totaled and none of the accidents were my fault. I probably shouldn't be driving due to the anxiety it gives me now, i'm constantly looking everywhere but the road to make sure no cars are about to hit me or are too close. The anxiety has slowly been getting better over time but it's still horrible.
Yes :( I’ve been in several car accidents and I’ve just recently gotten my drivers license (i’m 24). It was really hard for me, I get very anxious and lock up behind the wheel. I did pay for a lesson from a driving school beforehand and that really helped to give me some confidence. I still don’t drive, but knowing I have the ability to is comforting. I definitely need to drive with someone else in the car. It comes at your own pace, just give it some time. It’s annoying at America is such a car-centric place, unlike so many cities and towns worldwide that have adequate public transpo or walkable cities. I live in LA so it was either this or continue taking the metro :/

yes, and I am (or was) really good at it, but I never got my license and I will not drive anymore or ever again I dont think, but I mainly cannot drive from other conditions as well. My family mainly takes care of me with that type of stuff, and I'm very thankful for that but it is still not easy. I wish you luck if you decide to drive again, take it slow and you'll get it when you're ready. Therapy and driving classes helped my friend a lot, and they feel safer with a bigger vehicle
