Feeling Stuck in My Career

Have you tried asking for a raise? You’d be surprised how many employers will give you a bit of a raise if you come to them with the ultimatum: this is what other companies near us are paying. I want to be paid closer to that amount, because I feel my work is undervalued here. If I continue to feel undervalued, I may not want to work here long term. I finally tried doing this at my current job and the hiring manager was like you know what, you’re right, how does +1000 to the contract sound? The most important part is coming with evidence to show them that they’re underpaying you.
