Some of the key concerns are equalizing your perception of yourself and others, and reining in harmful behavior. Basically, NPD pulls you in all the wrong directions, so the solution is to pull away from your NPD and hopefully balance things out.

recognize harmful behavior like manipulation, negative contrasting, etc.; and actively try to prevent yourself from doing it •make sure you follow through on promises •make sure you follow through on apologies (start by admitting to your part and expressing sincere remorse, be willing to make amends and ask how they’d like for you to, make amends, apologize on their time not yours, only apologize for your part.) •empathize with people for their benefit, and make space for people (like making time to do what someone else wants, or letting them drive the conversation)

The number one thing is opening yourself to criticism, seeking it out, and acting on it. The biggest things that helped those of us with NPD outside of that is: •work on improving your self esteem and self image, taking care to not idealize yourself •take time to acknowledge your flaws, weaknesses, etc., while being careful not to devalue yourself •acknowledge that you are just as unique as everyone else, and that everyone is just as unique as you •acknowledge that you’re superior to no one, and no one is superior to you. •acknowledge that outside of your human rights, dignity, and basic needs no one owes you anything •recognize harmful behavior like manipulation, negative contrasting, etc.; and actively try to prevent yourself from doing it •make sure you follow through on promises •make sure you follow through on apologies (start by admitting to your part and expressing sincere remorse, be willing to make amends and ask how they’d like for you to, make amends, apologize on their time not yours, only apologize for your part.) •empathize with people for their benefit, and make space for people (like making time to do what someone else wants, or letting them drive the conversation) Some of the key concerns are equalizing your perception of yourself and others, and reining in harmful behavior.
