How is my condition going to progress? With EDS my joints have began to pop out more and I’ve experienced a lot more pain. I’m going to start physical therapy, but will it get better?

My best advice.... be mindful of your body and how it moves, especially your range of motion. I have to remind myself "just because your joint can move that far doesn't mean it should." Being 44 years old, I've got a lot more damage to my body than someone who's younger. Take care of your body now that you know what's wrong. I used to do all kinds of things to show off how flexible I was. I'm paying for it now. Also, you are your best advocate! I'll say it again, you are YOUR best advocate. You know what you're feeling and what's happening to you. If a doctor doesn't take you seriously, find another.

It's a great start! low impact muscle-strengthening exercise can make a great impact on your wellbeing. Don't lose hope yet!

I also wish I had better news for you but as you see in from the rest the comments there isn’t a lot, just make sure that you are taking care of you the best way you can and especially make sure that you focus on your mental health whenever you can

I wish I had better news lol. But the number of doctors I've seen who don't even believe my diagnosis is stupid

The only thing doctors tell me to do is drink more water, but that doesn’t help. I usually use KT tape which helps the joints to stay in place and lessen the lain
