I am 28 years old and have no friends. I work from home, so I don’t interact with anyone in person consistently aside from my husband. How do I go about making friends and becoming a part of my community? I feel like most people make friends by meeting their friends’ friends, but I’m starting from scratch 😕

Even though it can seem a little scary I would see if there are any local groups that do something you like. My parents were in a similar situation in their 40s. My dad went to a motorcycle club meeting and met some people. They asked him to go on a big charity ride. One thing led to another and today (10+ years later) they have a really awesome friend group they've known for years. It can be nerve wracking to put yourself out there. My biggest pieces of advice would be to not try and force anything and dont just assume the first group is going to work out. It might take time and you have to find more than one group (my dad tried 2 other motorcycle groups first and didn't like them much)

Hi. Friends are almost impossible to find irl, lol. I'm here to find friends and people to talk with. Would love to meet up with anyone too if I ever find someone in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

I’m 32. I feel the same way too. So hard to make friends. And I have a strict rule of not making work friends.

@ATrainwreck Seconding this! For anything you like to do, odds are there’s a group of people who also like to do it somewhere near you. Bumble BFF is also an option! It can be hit-or-miss but I (24F) met my now best friend on there right after a big move to my current city

I had to double check your username, after I read your post I thought maybe I made an account two years ago and forgot about it that it matched me too. Surprisingly not! I relate to every single thing you said
