How do I know if I have dyscalculia? I have always struggled with math way more than anyone else I know. I struggle to do any forms of math, basic or advanced. The only math I ever managed to somewhat understand was geometry and even then it was difficult. I can’t do simple adding in my head or anything more difficult than that. I didn’t know there was even a word for this kind of thing. I’ve always known there was something wrong with me when it came to math. Does anyone have any input or recommendations?

Mine was caught early on as a child. My math level is pretty much at the kindergarten level i have to have a calculator or using my fingers to count because i can't do it mentally. One thing I noticed is long row lists of numbers tend to mess me up they jumble to the point i misread them. One thing that helps me is slowly taking my time to process the math, using tools such as YouTube when I get confused, and reading the problem out loud to myself.

I do not have any recommendations but I have all those symptoms as you it's really difficult to function sometimes but I did struggle with geometry but I was not as bad as other forms of arithmetic I did love geometry though ☺️
