(This post is about a really weird 46 day long menstrual period) I have suspected endometriosis and they've had me skipping my period for 2.5 years now and I've never had a breakthrough because I never forget my meds (if I do, I'm in a excruciating pain) and I'm currently on day 46 of a period, and finally stopped taking my birth control 7 days ago to see if it would reset my system (suggested from pelvic pain specialist) and the bleeding is just not stopping. She's going to have me start taking the birth control again to see if it stops but I don't feel like it's going to stop. Has anyone experienced this? Anyone have suggestions? I keep bleeding through my clothes and it's ruining my clothes, and although it's too painful to have sex, I'd still like to be able to consider it, without never knowing when the bleeding will stop.

I'm trans, and my endocrinologist had me take Norethindrone and it stopped my cycle in its tracks. Problem is, you can't be actively bleeding when you take it, or it'll keep going. I know I took shots too, to stop a breakthrough I had once while at the hospital... I'll look into what it was called and comment here again. I'm so sorry for you, hang in there.

It's Lupron!! Lupron injections may be helpful, they were a little tricky for me but I was also fighting cancer at the time so it may work well for you!
