Hi Alikes, I’m grateful a group like this exists. I’ve been suffering from extreme fatigue with few other symptoms for about 2 years. Doctors haven’t been able to give me a formal diagnosis and nothing seems to help my symptoms improve. Recently I’ve gotten a bit worse. Has anyone found something that’s helped them?

@malibucat777 hi, I took a break from this app but I’m back. I’ve been getting IVs for a few months now so I thought I could tell you what helped me. I found a nurse practitioner who does home visits which is incredibly helpful and less expensive than the IV clinics near me. She recommended glutathione IVs. I started with one IV every two weeks, and after a few weeks of it building up in my system I noticed a reduction of my fatigue for about a week after each IV. I recently went up to one every 7 days, and though it’s very expensive, it’s really helping me. My brain fog is just as bad as it’s always been, but my fatigue is more manageable. I can walk through a grocery store on my best days now! I usually have to use a wheelchair. I’ve specifically noticed that I “crash” (lose ability to stand up/walk/think for 48 hours) less often. I recently found out you can buy glutathione pills and patches. Though you should still consult a doctor about taking those! I don’t know if they work as well as IVs, but they’re a lot cheaper!

What is fodmop?
708d
@Invisible it’s an acronym. You can google it. The low fodmap is an elimination diet. Not something permanent. It’s helpful to people with IBS and reduces inflammation that causes symptoms. I’ve read it helps with other autoimmune conditions as well. The verdict is still out whether I feel like it’s helping me.

@Sunshine10 I started to do that diet a week ago and I felt really good. Since then I've veered away from it a little bit I'm still eating extremely healthy, no sugar, gluten, and tons of leafy greens, and I'm suddenly not doing as well. Maybe I'll try it again

Hi, I’ve had chronic fatigue disorder for about a year now and just got an official diagnosis a few months ago. I’ve started daily B-12 and D vitamins and a supplement called “formula 303” that includes magnesium (helps with energy). Just a warning though, formula 303 pills smell awful lol. I’ve noticed an improvement in my energy levels since starting the B-12. I’m trying to get vitamin D IV infusions because I’ve heard they help with fatigue MUCH better than just pills. Myers cocktail IVs might be helpful too but I know IVs can be expensive. Good luck and I hope any of that helps you.

@Babypossum Have you had any problems with IV clinics and how often do you think necessary to go?
@Babypossum thanks! I’m also on B-12 and D. I was super deficient. Unfortunately it hasn’t helped much. My doctor mentioned finding me an iv infusion clinic to try. I go back to see her next week. Today, I’m on day three of a fodmap diet I decided to try and I’m trying not to be overly optimistic but I feel great! Some other members on here mentioned it helped them a lot.
