Hello! New here! My story started about 3 years ago and I’m still trying to figure out the root of the problem! I’ve been getting headaches for the last 3 years on and off not really knowing why or where their coming from but just recently in the last 6 months I’ve been having right sided headaches. More like nerve pain sometimes throbbing. I’ve gone to my primary and a neurologist had a Catscan done of my sinus/ head everything came back normal. Went to neurologist he just wanted to give me meds. I tried a couple and didn’t like the way they made me feel. Tried Botox helped some. Went to chiropractor he suggested an mri of my neck. Results came back bone spurs, two buldged discs and arthritis in my c5-7 discs. Went to Florida march 1 had bone spurs Shaved and buldged trimmed. I was hoping this would fix the headaches!!!! Nope. Because I’ve had bad posture for so many years I also have some lordosis of my cervical spine. I’m not heard yet from my surgery so I can’t start physical therapy yet. I know the pain is coming from my neck and radiating up to the right side of my temple and above my eye but why????? Anyone else experience this?

Well the pain radiates on both sides of my head that’s why I’m thinking I have have an on both sides two different nerves I’m going to neurologist and that’s what I think they’ll just give a pharmaceutical and I will not go on any anti-depressive. This is what I’m afraid of

How many rounds of Botox did you go through? It took two to three before it helped me. Also, look up occipital neuralgia or trigeminal neuralgia. Nurtec and Fioricet combo helps me some.

@justkittenya yes I think I have some sort of neuralgia info back to neurologist next month

My pain radiates down my arms, if that makes sense. I don’t have bone spurs or anything other and some arthritis and the bulging disc. I was told that everything going on in my spine is too mild for any surgical intervention. I am really hoping I am a candidate for TOS surgery if that’s what it is, because the alternative is years of PT and i’ve been doing that already and it’s only getting worse. 🤦‍♀️

@snap_crackle_pop the pain is from your budging disc. I had the discs trimmed and i no longer have any arm pain. I went to Florida it was laparoscopic. It sucks because I really thought it would help. I think I carry all my stress/anxiety in my neck if that makes sense. I’m always so tense

I have a similar story! I have all of the same symptoms as you, just on my left side. I have a bulging disc at c5-c6 and arthritis in there as well. All of my other scans were normal. I haven’t been able to figure out what’s up and i’m pretty much on bed rest because the pain that was mostly in my head has migrated down my neck and into my shoulders and back. My doctors think I may have Thoracic outlet syndrome, which on the surface seems like it’s a problem only involving the collar bone area and arms, but after tons of research and reading, I found out that it can severely impact the neck, and even be a partial cause for bulging discs. The neck pain from that can cause some pretty gnarly headaches as well. I’m on the road to a diagnosis, hopefully. I would definitely look into it, because all of my symptoms began and were like yours, but slowly morphed into a much larger demon. I’m sorry you’re going through this, I understand how hard it can be not being able to get answers. I’ve always said that it’s like whatever the hell is wrong with me is “camera shy”. I hope you get it all figured out and I’m here if you need to talk! :)

@snap_crackle_pop Also, my posture is terrible as well and that can be a cause of Thoracic outlet syndrome :)

@snap_crackle_pop do you have pain in your arms? The spine surgery helped with that

@snap_crackle_pop I will look this up thank you!! When I went to acupuncture tonight he said my neck muscle was extremely tight.
