Hi guys!! Lately with all the weather changes I’ve been having terrible flare ups to the point my skin doesn’t even like to be touched. My hands feel swollen, headaches, body aches. What do you guys do for pain management?

I have a permanent spine injury as well as arthritis so I'm always in pain & sometimes it's pretty awful. So here are some things I do, I hope that it helps! I take percocet & muscle relaxers for pain. Bayer back & body is a pretty fantastic over the counter medication. Also hot baths with Dr. Teals Epsom salt (they have some for pain). Sometimes I sleep on a heating pad on the lowest setting. Being adjusted by a chiropractor or messages are also good options. Before I developed pots I would do yoga or swim sometime no impact exercise helps.

I’ve come to accept the pain, but it sucks!! I’ve been using everything from lidocaine patches to it strips
I use compression sleeves for my arms and legs! Hope you find relief❤️
I kinda forced myself to adjust to the pain by accepting it, rather than making it more painful by amplifying it with suffering, which is just resistance to pain I think. Yeah meditation helps, so having a meditation mindset.
What is Lyrica for?

@zoo fibromyalgia or nerve pain
Did the Lyrica make you gain weight?
@GMaw for me it didn't, but I'm also fat so I may not have noticed lol. I find the Lyrica works better than gabapentin, how ever the devils lettuce helped me the most when I was in a legal state. By no means am I recommending it, just that it worked for me
@livvie361 Thanks! I wouldn't take Lyrica because everyone said they gained weight so he put me on gabapentin and I gained weight.
I'm on Lyrica and occasionally I'm on flexeril to help with some muscle aches. I find grounding exercises can help with the pain, as well as meditation. Sometimes getting in touch with what actually hurts can help you avoid a trigger. I find sometimes also when I'm over stimulated I feel more pain. If you're also going through depression see if Cymbalta can be beneficial.
