Does anyone else have a partner that’s really into restricting their diet and working out for “fitness”? I have been on and off w/ restriction and bulimia since I was 13, diagnosed when I was in highschool. I have a somewhat healthier relationship with food.. but my partner is doing the no-carb thing and since we eat together a lot it’s triggering my “all or nothing” thinking which I feel may snowball me back into bad habits. I don’t want this to happen but I also don’t want to restrict what they eat. I also feel insecure about my body as I’m heavier than I was when we started dating and I feel “guilty” not being as thin anymore.

People will always diet and try to change their bodies, and you cant really separate yourself from that without trapping yourself in a bubble. You could try pushing them to do it healthily and make the focus on health rather than their body, saying it out loud convinces yourself too. What they need to do for their health and what you need to do for yours are different. Stay strong, i hope you find something that works for you!
