is there any ways to slowly straighten “mild” scoliosis. i’m so sick of being in pain 24/7 and not being able to wear bathing suits bc you can see the scoliosis and not being able to stand up or walk for more than 10 min without having unbearable back pain 😭😭 i legit can’t live like this it’s absolutely terrible. and i would do surgery but it prob wouldn’t be covered by insurance and i’ve heard some people still have constant back pain even after surgery ughh help 😭😭

Are you sure it's that mild if it causes this many problems for you?

I have two types of scoliosis (two types of curvature) bones twisted and the spine twisted and doctors often try to diminish what is actually happening! don’t let them mansplain to you your own pain just be adamant about what you’re feeling is real and hopefully we’ll find specialists who understand what’s happening I’ve been recommended aqua therapy like physical therapy in water can help a lot

According to my chiropractor some cases can be reversed, at least partially. Idk if my situation really would be much help here since my scoliosis is caused by uneven legs but my spine has started to straighten after I started seeing him, though it does take some time. However your condition doesn't really seem all that mild if you're in constant pain. Regardless though a chiropractor would likely be your best bet

A chiropractor is a good alternative especially if you've already met your deductible. I believe all insurances cover them except tricare, but I know private insurances typically do, however, if it's that bad you'd need to get approval from the insurance company. For example, my insurance only covers 20 sessions a year and I have to go 3x a week for 8-10 weeks as will you if not for more than 10 weeks. There are different diagnosis codes and exceptions so talk to your benefits manager at work and insurance provider to see if it's covered, which places are, cost with deductible, how many visits are approved, and how to get around it if you need more visits

@xoxogossipgirl much better. You go once a week for maintenance once it's fixed; they start off with full body x-rays, which is essential because misalignment can cause degenerative disc disease, aka arthritis which I have. The doctor will then say what you have, give exact degrees (mine is -6.89 but I say -7) and go over a plan

@xoxogossipgirl I have mild but if it was just a physical have a doctor do x-rays. I also have lots of pain and migraines abs found out my neck is backwards. It's -7° when it should be +36° minimum preferably +43°. The pain radiates to other areas and causes nausea, if it's pressing against your brain that would explain why you have pain in your back if it's messing with the nerves. Look up upper cervical misalignment

@Hannibal I agree sounds more severe if you can visibly see it and it's causing that much pain

@FS_cookielove it’s prob more than mild but that’s what she said and she made it sound like it was no biggie 😭 i do go to a chiropractor and it helps for a little bit after the adjustment but then obviously that relief doesn’t last
