What helps you with self-awareness? How can I interrupt living on “autopilot”? I know I need to figure out what my patterns are to find what my triggers are. I’m always drawing a blank and feeling stuck.

    I'm not sure there's one dead straight answer to that. For me, therapy has helped so much with mindfulness and being present. Also medications. I know it sounds cliché, but it has worked very well for me. A good question to ask yourself is "how am I feeling right now? Is there a reason why I'm feeling this way?"

    Living in autopilot reminds me of how I feel when I'm in "survival mode" or "crisis mode". It can be difficult to get out of. Listing the things you're lucky to have is one way to ground yourself. For example, clean water, a roof over your head, etc
