so im going through a breakup right now and one of the most frustrating things is that i feel like i have no one to talk about it with. most of my friends just want to make my ex the villain (the break up was due to distance and circumstance, there is no villain). whereas my siblings, who actually got to know my ex and see our dynamic first-hand, have bigger issues and i feel like a waste of time complaining to them. my parents aren't much of an option either. my dad will pull me out of college and send me back home at the first sign of struggle. and my mom still hasnt accepted that we were actually in a committed romantic relationship and not just good friends. i just feel so totally alone in this. its my first breakup and i have no idea what im doing or how to move on. i feel like i have to be fine because thats what i always am; something sh¥tty happens and im 'fine.' but now im not and i dont know how to pretend to be. and it just f¥cking sucks.

You may need to tell your friends there is no villain or you may need better friends. Sometimes things happen. Let your self grieve and then move on when you feel ready. Take your time to feel what you need to feel.

I’m also going through a breakup rn due to long distance and circumstances 😳😳 I’m sorry you feel alone, please know that you are loved and so many people want to be there for you! I’m grateful that my partner and I have had a pretty healthy breakup. I share that with my friends, so they don’t see my ex negatively. But that doesn’t dispute how tough this is. I guarantee that some of your friends or even maybe your family will hear you out. You can always seek out a counselor or resources on campus. Sending you love darlin 💔❤️
