Hey everyone, what medicines should I talk to my doctor about getting on for anxiety. Context: I have awful anxiety and stress levels. I get anxiety in my college classes, and eating, and driving and dying. I get fidgety. I breath heavy, I play with my hair, cough and try to calm myself down. Nothing ever works until I leave the situation that causes me anxiety. Sometimes there isn’t even a situation. I want to feel better but I even have anxiety about taking pills. I want to feel better and not embarrass myself, but I don’t want to feel numb and weird. I’ve had anxiety my whole life. I just want to suppress these feelings, not diminish them completely. Thanks for any help!

The first thing I ever took was Effexor XR (venlafaxine) and I absolutely loved it! I felt so relaxed and care free! Sadly my body built a resistance to it so I had to switch to something different. I was so upset when I hit the max dose and had to stop taking it.
